Against this background, companies that want to sell solar products below the set minimum price have to pay import duties of up to 64.9 %.

When it comes to mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline products

In September 2017, the European Commission has decided to lower the MIP for China-made crystalline silicon photovoltaic products on a quarterly basis to match with the global average.

When it comes to bikes

Trade agreement

Most of the trade relations between the EU and China are based on a bilateral basis, meaning that China has particular trade relationship with each member state and not with the EU as a whole. Consequently, it can have negative effect on the capacity of the EU to use their collective economic influence on China when trading. Moreover, the fact that EU is split opposite China has stopped it from implementing an effective strategy regarding its relation with China.

The EU has to try to find a new balance for its relationship with China in order to conserve its economic independence. To do so, the EU has to trade with China as a unit, this is why a EU-China Free Trade Agreement may be a potential means to impulse a policy change. Today, neither the EU nor China is ready for a FTA even though it is evolving on the right path.

Trade relationship

Though China is France’s second largest supplier after Germany, the Chinese market is only the seventh largest market for French exports. Trade between both countries effectively remains moderate. However, the rise in the value of French exports to China and the imports of Chinese products in France over the past year indicate an encouraging development of the trade between both countries.

Regarding French industries, there are positive results in China in 2017. On one hand, aerospace construction products’ exports account for 34 % of the value of French exports to China. On the other hand, clothing, communication and peripheral equipment and computers represent the most imported products in France from China.

It is true that China is an important market for French companies. Some French industries record improve their revenue thanks to exports to China, especially when it comes to luxury products, food and beverage, high-tech goods and art.  In France, we count currently more than 700 Chinese and Honk-Kong companies’ subsidiaries.

Packing material

Carton boxprofessional packers in china sino

Carton boxes are the most basic type of packing material. There are different kinds of carton boxes: corrugated, plywood boxes etc. Cartons are still the main item used to pack small and medium goods, even if it is an old school method.

Palletization is considered to be the main packing option for almost all goods, and all transportation modes. Compared to the delivery of non-palletized goods, pallet shipping represents a significant cost. On the other hand, the price-quality ratio due to the real minimization of risks and potential damage to deliveries makes the pallet of goods an indispensable tool in the goods transport industry.

  • Wooden pallets are strong and resistant. They also offer an elevated level of safety because wood provides a high level of friction, which is a substantial advantage over plastic. This ensures that goods will not slip easily once on the pallet.
  • Plastic pallets are also an excellent option for goods packing. However, as plastic is more expensive than wood, it implies that the initial costs can be considerable. So this is an obvious disadvantage.
Wooden boxes

The wooden boxes are a really advantageous type of packing because they provide full protection to your goods during transit. Moreover, our company offers a wide range of wooden boxes. It is adapted for voluminous and heavy items like furniture… Indeed, this gives them a better protection during the transfer and ease and secures the handling steps.

Others: bubble wrap, tape, wrapping paper…

We advise you to wrap all your fragile/sensitive goods with bubble wrap, like glass or porcelain to prevent breakage. We offer specific packing according to your items’ needs.

Why packing is important for the insurance?

Packing is very important for the insurance because your insurers could reject the refund if they consider the packaging of the damaged goods to be insufficient.

Freight insurance

We negotiated with the best-certified insurers to select the most attractive package for our clients, both in terms of cost and safety. We propose moving insurance because it is really important that our customers may be insured in case of incidents.

How much does a freight insurance cost?

The method of calculation of your insurance cost is the following. You have to add the value of your goods and the value of your freight, then you apply a 1-3% factor on it, depending on your products’ category.

Control quality in China

Our experts systematically control the quality of your goods, because we highly think that it essential in order to avoid any issue. Furthermore, we establish close relationship with your supplier to keep your freight safe.

Relationship with supplier

Moreover, even if your incoterm of purchase FOB, we check all for you with your supplier, such as the volume, the weight, the HS codes. When you make a shipping request, you’ll have to declare the value of your shipment. The value you enter on your request form is the value that will be declared at customs, so it is important that you declare accurately. If you declare too high a value, you may be assessed more taxes than you want to pay! If you declare too low a value, your declared value may be considered unreasonable and adjusted upward.

How can I reduce my shipping costs?

-Negotiate with multiple carriers -Get suppliers to use your shipping account number -Use packaging provided by your carrier -Consider a regional carrier -Use online shipping -Invest in prepaid shipping -Buy insurance from a third party -Factor in all shipping fees before billing customers -Consider hybrid services -Ask about association discounts
